How We Choose Products
Products are considered for a guide or comparison based on:
Fit for the guide’s own stated purpose
Each Best Buying Guide states who it’s for (e.g. “beginners,” “intermediate players”) — products are evaluated against that, not a generic “best overall” standard.
Real specifications and construction
Materials, build quality signals, and manufacturer specifications, checked against the manufacturer’s own listing where possible.
Price-tier coverage
Where possible, guides span more than one price tier rather than only featuring the most expensive options.
Availability
We prioritize products that are actually purchasable at a named retailer, and remove or flag entries that go permanently out of stock or discontinued.
